Very light colored and hoppy in the nose and mouth. A hoppy ale with strong bitterness in the start and a nice malt finish. The beer is a very good rendition of an IPA without the blast of all the hops in the front.Good spring beer from Old Dominion great if you like hops.

A hazy deep gold body is topped by a creamy white head that holds quite well, maintains a thin surface covering throughout the glass, and leaves nice lace. Gently toasted malts and floral, grassy, & spicy hops welcome you in the bouquet. The body is firm, and a very fine and moderate carbonation leaves it smooth and creamy in the mouth. The flavor delivers a well-balanced combination of fresh, grassy, lemony & spicy hops and lightly sweet, mildly toasted malt backed by a bold bitterness. The alcohol is very well hidden throughout (although you may start to feel it towards the end of the glass). It finishes dry with a lingering note of lemony and spicy hops. Quite well done!

2003 version of their Spring Brew - A Saaz Bock (1998 Spring Brew was also the Saaz Bock)
Golden with a nice ivory head. Big spicy Saaz hop aroma and taste with a solid malt backbone. Medium bodied, malty, creamy, and smooth with a dry bitter finish.
