Dhiskey Wick is a combination of Old Dominion Oak Barrel Stout, Hop Mountain, and Double D that is aged in a bourbon barrel for a year.
I had this at Fordham brewery three different times so far.
Appearance: Black in color with a red hue around the edge. A tan colored head with good retention and a great lace.
Smell: A sweet bourbon, vanilla, and carmel/malt scent.
Taste: Very sweet. Some bourbon flavor in the background but does not over power the beer. Vanilla, chocolate, and roasted malt notes.
Mouthfeel: Very heavy body, smooth, and creamy. Low carbonation with a little warmness.
Overall: I love how the three diffenert beers meld together and how aging it in a bourbon barrel has an effect on the final product. The bourbon flavor doesn't over take the beer but complements it. I love how smooth it is. I can't drink too many of them at one time because of the sweetness. Would be a great dessert beer and great on a cold night. Definitely recommend that you try it if you get a chance.
