This pours a murky golden color. The head is white, 1 finger frothy. Moderate retention. Some lacing on the glass.
The nose has a moderate citrus aroma. Some grapefruit, and other citrus.
Taste - Ok, as a standard IPA, this is ok. It has a nice hop taste. Some citrus.
Feel is where things go downhill. The card at the brewery claimed it was a NEIPA. It isn't. It doesn't have the creamy mouthfeel that the NEIPAs have. The body is not very thick, and somewhat watery.
Overall, if they said it was a standard IPA, I'd rate it higher. As a standard IPA, it is good. The problem is they said it was in the New England IPA style. It isn't. It doesn't have the overly juicy taste. It doesn't have the creamy mouthfeel of a NEIPA.
I was really hoping for more from this, and was let down by it.
