From a 16oz can purchased at the brewery. No date on the can.
This beer has a nice amber color to it. There's some murkiness to the appearance of the beer. There's a light stream of carbonation bubbles that are rising in the glass. The head is thicker at 3 fingers and a tan color to it. The retention is pretty damn good, and there's some lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The aroma is malty with notes of caramel in it. There's a nutty aroma also from the malts.
The flavor is malty as I would expect. The front flavor is the caramel. The middle has a bitterness to it from the hops used to make the beer. The bitterness fades and a roasted peanut flavor comes into play that mixes with the lingering bitterness.
The body is quite good. Very smooth feeling. Full body.
This is a very tasty and well made beer overall. I am happy I bought it.

Pours a deep copper bordering on light brown color...good clarity..
Nice rich rounded maltiness with toasted malts up front but also with light hints of chocolate malts....clean drinking with some herbal hop notes to balance the malt..finishes dry.
Just 5.5% but full flavored and one of the better tasting ofests this year. The light cocoa notes seem out of place but it tastes really good overall. Clean drinking lager I'd recommend.
