Collab with German LilleBrau Brewery from Kiel - Kölsch with Sea Buckthorn. A super thirst-quenching summer beer brewed with Pilsner malt, wheat, oats and a touch of sea buckthorn. Kiel is a twin city with Aarhus and exchanges ideas and experiences between the cities - so Humleland should of course brew a beer together with LilleBrau

Copenhagen 14/3 2021. 33 cl bottle from Brygshoppen. web-shop. Black, simple label with the name of the beer and a thin orange line.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aromas is medium intense with a lemonade-ish sweet odor mingling with a harsh herbal edge. Orange and sugar. Buckthorn, ginger and mint.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger, rough herbal bitterness Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A Kølch with a notable presence of buckthorn. A bit too herbal for my tastebuds.
