No Christmas without our annual Den Stive Nisse.
This strong and full-bodied beer leaves a warm and pleasant feeling in the body, while the taste is balanced with New Zealand Motueka as bittering hops and Motueka and American Vista as aroma hops. Large amounts of malt and dark candy sugar help give the beer notes of caramel and dark fruit.
Then you got the warmth back in your toes – it was so little!

Copenhagen 14/2 2022. 44 cl can from Dammbergs Ølmagasin, Kingosgade, Kbh. V. Burgundy can with the visage of a very drunk Christmas Elf.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin flimsy patch of foam. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a dark, sweet malty and sugary odor mingling with a boozy potency. Dark fruit - plums and raisins, caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Dark alcohol.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a light sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter and boozy streak. Finish is a bit dry.
A bit on the sugary side but I do feel reassured about getting pretty plastered if I buy a six-pack.
