a hazy summery american pale featuring azacca hops, and one of their better hoppy beers that i had here, i didnt love most of them but this one is nice, softer than the others, less over hopped to me, but still with a punchy dry hopped fruitiness and some bitterness to help it finish, fully pleasant, although i can smell the azacca a bit more than i can taste it. the hops are nice, better than i have known azacca on its own or in the lead like this before, fresh orange juice, sliced pineapple in its own juices, tangy green grape, lemon zest, really fresh and light, nice with this dry and simple but earthy and starchy malt base, east coasty and good. i wish the hop flavor was as good as the nose, and there still is some of this hop harshness, but its less here than in many of their others by a mile. melon and lemon in the flavor, juicy and grassy too, noble hop elements here too, especially later on when the bitterness kicks up a little. good medium body to it but nice and dry, summery and sunny and fun, new school and good. i liked this as well as any hoppy beer i we tried in here!
