a margarita inspired berliner type sour, kettle soured, lactic and quite sharp, but summery and interesting and rather well executed for what it is. the lime element in here is incredibly fresh and natural, zesty and juicy with a candies sort of character to it too, like the simple syrup would do in the cocktail. the sourness is really high though with the acid from the lime, which really pushes past refreshing like a lemonade or something and into the less drinkable realm, it is cleaner than in their rare candy sour though, a little more refined on the lacto. when i close my eyes and think about it i can get a silver tequila and sweet agave element to this, but it might be more a vision than a flavor, this isnt overly complex and misses some of the obvious margarita aspects, but i like the beer. if it had a little less sourness and a little more carbonation it would hit the mark this time of year. i like that there is still some graininess to this, too many of these dont taste like beer anymore, but this one thankfully does!
