Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours jet black with a thin layer of brown head. The nose is full of vanilla, chocolate, marshmallow, and coconut. Some maple and brown sugar.
The taste is really interesting. Getting some maple, roasted malts, brown sugar, burnt coconut, dark coffee beans, vanilla, and very dark chocolate. It says barrel-aged, but I'm not really picking up any barrel. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Overall, a really nice pastry stout.
