Had it on tap at the brewery in a wide mouthed IPA glass. Golden yellow color with an excellent head and great lacing. Piney, earthy smella nd taste. A bit of citrus, most lemon. A nice hoppy bitter finish. Went great with my snapper.

Serving: 12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Bought at Larder in Hotel Emma (San Antonio, TX), 19-Jan-19.
Appearance: Clear, bright amber with a tall frothy head of white foam, streaky lace.
Smell: Caramel malt takes the forefront, rounded out by pine resin, citrus rind and slightly vegetal dank.
Taste: Caramunich continues in the flavor with sweet, toasty malt base notes. Lemony citrus and pine balance the malt along with a healthy herbal bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with soft carbonation.
Overall: A nice old school IPA that stays out of the haze and tropics - perfectly packaged in its stubby bottle.

Beautiful burnt orange color. Juniper type pine smell that is rather light. Seemed lighter than you’d expect from a 6.8% IPA and the taste was a little bitter on the back of the tongue after the fact which kept me from wanting to gulp it.

Piney-apricot nose, dark-peachy color, lacy ring of suds on glass. Taste: pleasant, pine, apricot and maybe grapefruit. Smooth mouthfeel with mild carbonation. Worth a try

The evolving beer! This is the first review on BeerAdvocate and unless someone writes another in the next two days, nobody else will ever review this batch. Mine tasted like toffee, burned caramel, figs and molasses. Really, really unique beer from San Antonio. Remember the Alamo, bitches!

Love the red color of this beer. Has a deep molasses and caramel taste to it. Nice and smooth.
