Beer samples at Traquair House in Scotland were the genesis of our brewer's interest in beer creation. To honour this, Nineteenth (as in the nineteenth hole, another homage to Scotland's inventiveness) is a strong scotch ale released for our Grand Opening in April 2016. This beer is the "opposite of an IPA" - malty and tasty, but easy-drinking for its alcohol content.

Appearance: It has a nice deep brown (almost black) color to it. It has a nice thick beige head that dies down moderately and leaves some nice lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of roasted malts, sweet caramel, toffee, light vanilla and some sweet dark fruit.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has some roasted malts, sweet caramel, light toffee, faint vanilla, dark fruit and a light eathy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: It has a low carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a smooth drinkable beer accompanied by good flavors and aromas.
