City and country dwellers alike look forward to the unusual event that is an eclipse. A penumbra is the lightest part of an eclipse shadow. Penumbra is also our black IPA that isn't quite black, owing to our brewer's avowal to keep roasted malts low enough to colour the beer, but not drive it into American Stout territory. It's a beer worth looking forward to ;)

From notes
Appearance: It has a nice deep nut brown color to it with some amber hues shinning through. It has a nice creamy light beige head that dies down moderately slow and leaves plenty of lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of citrus, dank pine resins, light grapefruit, roasted malts, a light nuttiness and faint notes of coffee and chocolate.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has some citrus/grapefruit notes followed by a piney/earthy bitterness with roasted malts, some nuttiness, coffee and faint dark chocolate in the back.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied by good flavors and aromas. Solid Black IPA
