Flying Heart Brewing

 

Oddly shaped building, with the main entrance seemingly being halfway between street parking and the parking lot. Inside is a pretty large industrial-feeling space. Despite the big space the bar is rather small and seems to fill up quickly. The patio is pretty big out back, though the view is just of the local interstate. Staff was extremely friendly (southern hospitality) and offered samples when deciding between options. Selection list is pretty good, spanning a fairly diverse range of styles for an area not really known for craft beer.

 

Trendy brewpub with brick oven pizza. Z-shaped bar seats about 15. Table in front and back... spacious. A dozen beers on tap, the 3 I had were excellent. Brewer and bar staff were very personable. Pizza was delicious, they condition their water to match NY... it works. Very cool place

 

 

Excellent small brewery, perhaps Louisiana's best. Far exceeded expectations. All beers worth drinking and many exceptional, including the blonde and milk stout. Great seasonals - pumpkin ale and coffee plantation mud.
