Deep near-black brown color where light passes through the edge. Small, beige head. Mostly spots for lace.
Creamy semisweet chocolate nose.
This is pretty traditional dry stout without any bells or whistles. The start is dry with a neutral mocha flavor. The body body is fuller than most stouts; the carbonation is greater as well but still well balanced. There's a touch of ash in the swallow leaving a burnt coffee aftertaste. In a word, pleasant.
