Poured from a can into a snifter. 2025 edition
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy deep orange amber color with a big head of off-white foam. The head has a fantastic level of retention, with it very slowly fading over time and leaving tons of big and thick bubbly lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is massive of a tropical fruit smell of papaya, pineapple, and guava. At the same time there is a strong showing of an orange and tangerine aroma mixed with notes of a candy sugar smell and some sweet grapefruit and a bit of pine. Along with these smells also comes some aromas of a nice creamy smell as well as a big level of breadiness and dough and some light notes of alcohol and spice.
Taste – The taste is big right from the start. It begins with a sweet bread and tropical fruit flavor with lots of pineapple, mango, passionfruit, and papaya. There is also lots of citrus with big notes of tangerine and orange, along with notes of a grapefruit hop. There is a bit of herbal and pine hop upfront as well, with both getting slightly stronger as the taste advances forward. There are also some melon flavors that develop along the way, bringing even more sweetness to the brew. Flavors of grain and wheat develop at the end adding a bit more malt. At 11 % abv, the alcohol is very well hidden, hiding rather well from the flavor profile. Toward the very end a bit of the candy smell that was in the nose comes to the tongue, leaving one with a rich and sweet taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is thick and chewy with a moderate carbonation level. For the big abv and sweet flavors the feel is awesome and makes for a very nice sipper.
Overall – A big, malty, and sweet IPA that is very dangerously easy to drink at 11 % abv. Definitely a brew to try is you have the opportunity.

This one is not for the faint of heart. Cloudy gold on the pour with a slight head. Aroma is Alcohol with citrus and hops in the background. Less boozy as it warms. this one is a sipper, as multiple citrus fruits and Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops provide a complex taste platform that is very pleasant. A good brew for when you having only one...two of these and this old timer would be heading for bed.

I thought the first of these I had from a can was very good, but I was intimidated its 11% ABV from buying a 4-pack. Good thing, because I next had it at the brewery taproom and thought it was just so-so. The alcohol kick is strong, but so is the alcohol taste. Not hazy at all, and not enough of the hops showing through.

Lord Hobo Museum Triple IPA is a a hazy 11% treat. This is a juicy and hazy brew front loaded with mango, pineapple and orange notes. It is malty and smooth. A lot of complex characteristics come through as this beer sneaks up on you. This beer blends citra, mosaic and Galaxy hops and does so without too much bitternes. This is a very good beer!

16 ounce can, canned on 03/28/19. Thanks to Brutaltruth and Darlene for this brew! Served in a DFH Spiegelau IPA glass, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with about an inch frothy off-white head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is mostly citrusy/fruity, it smells like oranges, mango, citrus peel, grapefruit, pineapple and some herbal hops. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some apricot, bready malt and a bit of booziness noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick, smooth and easy enough to drink. I liked this, certainly worth a try and hopefully I'll be able to try this one fresher next time.

Not expecting much going into a beer from a company called Lord Hobo. It could be a boozy mess as long as it doesn't taste like anti freeze! Into a pint glass. Well its unfiltered with a good deep amber color and a nice 1/2 inch of froth which is good from the ABV. Smell is herbal hops and some fruit but mostly booze. Taste and mouthfeel not good cloying ethanol with a slight pineapple and mango hops. Can't really hide the ethanol with sugars this beer is rough almost like malt liquor on acid!
Overall not sure if this is a gimmick a dumpster brew of a Triple IPA but it really doesn't make me seek out the other brews. Hell if you can't make a good IPA then more complex styles will only be worse!

From the tall boy can in a snifter. This beast of an IPA pours a lightly
hazed orange marmalade color with a nice head of white foam that
subsides to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some very nice
lacing. Nose of pineapple, mango, orange, pine, and herbal hop notes
awash in sweet caramel malts. Flavors follow the nose with a thunderous
aplomb. Citrus notes of pineapple juice and mango mingle with orange
zest and moderate pine hop notes over a rich blanket of caramel and honey
sweet malts with warming booze on the rear burner. Excellent mouth feel;
medium body, sticky sweet, medium light carbonation that is perfect
for the style, and a sweet lightly dry hop and citrus heavy finish.
Overall, a winner in my book for best IPA I have had this year!
Cheers
