I brought a couple of cans of this beer back home from the brewery whilst i was in Massachusetts for my son's hockey showcase. It poured an opaque dark with ecru head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had sweet maple malt base and macadamia nut highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with acidic molasses like presence. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Poured cold to a pint glass (tulip was dirty). Dark, murky brown with a one finger mocha head that burns down to a light cover and gobs of lacing. Not much of any aroma, though maybe a little leather and cigarette ash if you put nostrils practically on the surface. Flavor profile is hearty. Lots of dark chocolate malt base, some of that faint leatheriness, and a strong bitter finish. Mouthfeel is very full, with long lasting flavors in the background, much of it roasty char. Alcohol has a slight bite up front, with a little warming. A barrel aged version is probably pretty fantastic, but this is solid.

My version was served "barrel aged" on tap at the Lord Hobo bar in Cambridge. Superb blankets of lace from a modest beige head. The liquid is nearly black and no light shines through the edges.
Sweeter aroma of dark cherries found in pie. No notable alcohol to the nose. I don't pick up any bitter burnt malt either.
Smooth and rich body. Good carbonation but it is fine, almost like a nitro pour. This is a soft stout without any coffee or even bittersweet chocolate on the tongue. The cherry from the smell shows up as warming alcohol. Shorter aftertaste.

Wow! Pours vanta black. Dark brown foam. Syrupy sweet aroma. Big dark roasted malt body. Chocolate cake and dark chocolate finish. Thick and creamy. I'm surprised how smooth it is. You can taste the alcohol. This is one of the best imperial stouts I've had. I might have to take a nap after this one.

Poured from a 12oz can dated 10/26/20 to a diagonal cut tumbler at room temp.
Really pretty topographical dark tan head. Dark body with brown edges when back lit.
Smells of musty alcohol if that makes any sense. Some chocolate hints, some caramel.
Nice dry mouthful. Chocolate in the front, but the 12% octane certainly lets itself known in the sips.
Oily and creamy describes the feel.
A nice stout. Sip slowly for ultimate enjoyment.

New England is not known for it's stouts, but Lord Hobo brewed a solid and rich Imperial that stands out from its competitors.
The rich chocolate, coffee, and nutty bitterness hits the mark perfectly. It's the fantastic silky texture that blew me away, feeling every sippy foam into rich velvet was a real treat.

Exceptional beer.
One of the best heads I have ever poured. Beautiful luscious thick brown that just sits there, and tastes delicious.
Smell is fine - nothing special.
Taste is really great. Seems to be just the right level of sweet/bitter that an imperial stout should be.
Alcohol is extremely well hidden as well.
Overall one of the best I have had.

A - Black pour with dense toffee colored head on top that's creamy.
S - Coffee, roasted chocolate, brownies, and char.
T - Dark chocolate roast, char and charcoal, burnt fudge brownie, some coffee, bitter resiny chocolate char and pine on the very end. Lingering bitter chocolate roast with some alcohol presence.
M - Big, thick, and silky soft.
O - This is a big and flavorful stout with aggressive lingering chocolate roast. The bitterness hangs out on the palate for a respectable amount of time. Worth checking out.
