Near black color where light passes through the edge. Moderate, beige head. Good steaks for lace.
Creamy, cocoa aroma. Sweeter than most stouts -- almost like marshmallows were added to the hot chocolate.
Closer to milk chocolate than semisweet. The body is rich and the carbonation faint. I do not pick up on any cavier (read: salty). In the swallow there's an alcohol presence bordering on fortified wine. The aftertaste is leftover sweetened cocoa. This is probably a night cap sort of beer. If would be difficult to have two.
