Pours a cloudy gold with a lot of foam and lacing. Smell is citrus herbs and a little pine. Taste is slightly tropical…maybe some mango. Goes down pretty easy. Finishes a little dry. Not bad !

Lord Hobo Brewing Co. "Boss Pup"
1 pint can, "CANNED ON: 04/06/21 09:50:17"
$3.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Typical cloudy golden body beneath a good-sized head of off-white foam. The aroma is fairly bright as I can smell it at arm's length, and a closer inspection reveals lots of tropical/citrus fruit with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, guava, papaya, mango, berries, and nectarine - no complaints so far! On to the taste... it's not as bright and juicy as the aroma suggests but it's not bad at all. It remains tropical and citrusy within a lightly sweet malt base. A stiff bitterness runs through it and it finishes dry and piney. In the mouth it's medium bodied and somewhat smooth with additional proteins and a fine-bubbled, standard carbonation. The head held up fairly well, but the lacing is really quite good. In the end I'm not blown away by this but it's good enough that I'll keep it in mind for the future.

Cloudy enough for a white hue to the light gold color. Modest head with a couple of lighter streaks.
Very juicy smell with lots of tropical fruit.
The taste starts out similarly but the hop bite is a bomb. Richer body with a lower carbonation level. The finish is entirely bitter and results in one of the longer aftertastes I've had. This may be a session beer (4.5%) but it's very full flavored.
