Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy orange-yellow color with a one finger head of off-white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rathe strong of a tropical fruit smell of papaya and pineapple mixed with a whole lot of grapefruit and herbal hop. Along with these smells comes a strong orange juice smell as well as some aromas of pine and bread. There is a also a touch of hay and a little bit of peach and pear, producing a rather nice smell overall.
Taste – The taste starts out with a bready and wheaty flavor mixed with some flavors of tropical fruit of pineapple and papaya as well as a touch of tangerine. There are other flavors of a grapefruit hop and a bit of pine which create a start to the flavor profile. As the taste advances more hop comes to the tongue, with the grapefruit hop and pine getting stronger all while being joined by a touch of herbal hop. Toward the end, there is a little bit of a hay and grain, as well as a touch of yeast, leaving one with a rather malty, but nicely balanced hop taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is quite thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is lower. For the style the feel is good and makes for a rather easy and flavorful sipper.
Overall – A rather decent hazy IPA. Nothing too special, but enjoyable and flavorful none the less.

A: Bright, milky orange coloring with a yeasty dense nature, shows an initial rise of moderate carbonation. Spongey white capping, slight of half inch, had a good retention factor. Nice coloring, juicy milk orange, white bready capping checks all the boxes per style.
S: Sweet lime and lemon citrus first on nose. Fairly good strength. Sharp and to the point. Some fresh sweet tangerines and oranges arrive upon warming.
T: Initial flavor was bright and tart orange-citrus, along with some damp green hops. Some grassy and pine hop flavors is tart and refreshing. Some sour fruitiness, pineapple and grapefruit along with a touch of cantaloupe fruit. Good balance of grassy-pine hop bitterness and sweet, bready malt body.
M: Full bodied, malty with some gentle carbonation massage.
O: Overall nice color presentation, malty with some sour tropical and grassy-citrus factors hop flair. A nice lingering bitterness along with bready coating stays long on the tongue. Nice summer drinker, nice malty depth and solid hop levels.

12oz can dated 9/21/22.
Pours cloudy yellow is an inch-plus head of white. Plenty of tattered lacing and persistent retention. Light citrus in the nose. Medium bodied with thinnish mouthfeel. Pineapple and melon on the palate with minimal malt and an astringent bitterness. Finishes pithy with a dirty bitterness.

Lord Hobo Brewing Co. "Juice Lord"
12 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON: 04/21/22 12:41:05" and sampled on 07/05/22
$20.99/12pk variety case @ Javies Beverage, Phila., PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: Juice Lord certainly looks like a glass of juice, and smells pretty much the same. It's a cloudy golden beneath a finger's width of white foam. The aroma delivers notes of grapefruit, passionfruit, and melon. On to the taste... it's got a lot more melon to it than the aroma suggests. The grapefruit and passionfruit remain but there's also some peach to it, a little bit of ripe lychee, and a hint of lime. The malt is sweetish and seems to have oats in it, and as is quite often the case with juicy IPAs the bitterness is on the moderate side. In the mouth it's medium bodied and smooth with a fine-bubbled, moderate carbonation that leaves it soft and smooth. Unfortunately that softer carbonation leaves the head retention and lacing a little lacing but that's a fair trade-off for the mouthfeel. All in all this is a very well done beer. It's not a flip your wig beer but it's amazingly drinkable. How strong is this? Just 6%? Great, at 6% I'll be able to have another one.

From a 568 ml. can with a smudged date of April 2022. Sampled June 27, 2022.
The appearance most definitely looks like a modern IPA with its hazy, pulpy yellow color under a long lasting white head.
This is a slightly older can so the aroma aspects I get seem stale. Yes, I pick up white bread, pear, melon, and cantaloupe for the most part.
Medium, smooth mouthfeel.
The taste is sweet and bready to begin with those meaty fruits like pear, apricot, and melon, jumping in as it evolves. Slightly dry actually at the end. I think creamy all around.

I brought some cans of this beer home from a trip to Boston for my son's hockey tournament. It poured a hazy orangish with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had tart tangerine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tangerine and orange cream presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Agree that this is a rock-solid 6% IPA.
A) Body of hazy orange yellow with lasting, sticky, lacing white head.
S) Aromas of stone fruits and fruit salad including nectar: peach, mango, and apricot.
T) Follow aroma with added tangerine, grapefruit slices, and rind, the whole fruit cocktail.
F) Juicy, creamy, rich, bigger than 6% which is what I love about it.
O) Sum is greater than the parts, well made. Buy 24.

I tried this from a 12oz Lord Hobo assortment. It was a tasty IPA. I liked it. My wife chose it as her favorite in the variety. She bought a four pack of tall cans a few days later and absolutely hated it. I couldn't understand but when I tasted it I realized the 12oz cans in the assortment were TOTALLY different. The tall cans she bought had a completely different flavor and were terribly tart...I mean like diluted lemonade. Just sour and really horrible. I tried to drink one the next day and couldn't hack it. I trashed the two cans we had left.
