Deep dark brown where no light passes through. Lasting beige head which leaves blankets for lace.
Darker chocolate, cream, and oddly, olives. It's good even if it sounds bad. No smoke, though.
This is a darker, more bitter Porter. It's not quite a stout but it approaches that flavor. Richer body with a neutral effervescence. The swallow draws out the smoked portion in a subtle way--a case of less is definitely more. The finish is creamy and smoky.
