For our last collab of the year, we've partnered with our friends at J.P. Licks to bring you a Chocolate Mint Ice Cream Stout. Brewed with lactose for a smooth yet full body, aromas and flavors of refreshing mint are complimented by bold notes of chocolate with a hint of creamy vanilla.

From the bottom of the can: "Canned on 11/13/23 13:51:29"
Appearance: It has a black body with a very dense head which is medium-large in size. The head has compact foam and as it slowly fades it spreads into a thick frothy mass over the beer, leaving a very large froth of foam on the glass. It is an awesome looking beer and it could set the standard for Milk Stouts. It has a world-class appearance.
Aroma: It has a strong mint chocolate aroma. It smells a lot like the Mint Thin Girl Scout cookies. It also smells a lot like Andes Chocolate Mints.
Taste: It has a strong mint flavor up front, which is backed by a bit of dark cocoa flavor. The flavor stays minty towards the center of the palate. It has a bit of a dark chocolate flavor to the back of the palate. The aftertaste is a strong mint flavor.
Mouthfeel: It is medium-light in body with carbonation that is on the higher end. There is a medium strength bitterness from the mint flavor and it could also possibly be from the hops. There is a noticeably absent grain bitterness. It is a bit of a slow drinking beer because the mint flavor is so high, but it still manages to drink well. It finishes a bit more like a Dry Irish Stout rather than a Milk Stout.
Overall: The text on the bottom of the label on the can states that this is a "Stout with Lactose & Natural Flavors." It also calls this a "Chocolate Mint Ice Cream Stout." It definitely has mint flavor and there is some chocolate character. The base beer seems to be lost behind the flavors that were added to the beer. It is a beer I could see myself buying again but it would probably only be one or two at a time. Although the base beer is lost in the background it still manages to support the flavors added to the beer enough that I would recommend it to those who might like mint and chocolate.
