Poured from a growler into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange-yellow color with a small fizzy white head. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is huge of a pineapple and mango smell mixed with a big showing of tangerine and orange, as well as some other tropical fruit aromas of papaya and guava with strong aromas of an orange creamsicle mixed in as well. Along with these smells comes a bit of herb and some light pine as well as a hint of lemon.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet tropical fruit flavor that was hinted at in the nose. There are flavors of pineapple, tangerine, and mango along with a bit of sweet doughiness and a hint of white bread. Along with these flavors is some light hop of a grapefruit and herbal, both of which grow slightly stronger as the taste advances. At the same time, there is a little bit of lemon with some increase in the sweet as some orange creamsicle like flavors hit the tongue . At the end, the sweet fades a touch, while the hop increases, leaving one with a rather tropically and modestly hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the brew is medium in thickness and chewiness with a moderate carbonation for a growler pour. Overall, rather good for the flavors and a nice easy sipper.
Overall - A tropical heavy IPA with a rather easy drinking nature and a creamsicle like flavor. Rather interesting.
