This release is a collaboration with Westminster Bakers Co., known for New England’s original oyster crackers, and Lobster Proper, a top-rated lobster food truck in Massachusetts. Together, we've crafted the New England Chowder NEIPA, a bright and hazy beer with a thick mouthfeel and a touch of lactose for a smooth finish. Brewed with selected hops and Westminster’s oyster crackers, it balances hoppy and tropical notes, perfect for enjoying summer in New England.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy yellow-orange color with a puffy head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is quite heavy of a tropical fruit smell with lots of tangerine, mango, pineapple and papaya. Along with these smells comes a very cracker heavy malt smell as well as some notes of sea salt and a hint of hay. There is also a sizable showing of grapefruit and herb as well as notes of vanilla and crème. A rather interesting mix overall.
Taste- the taste begins with the sweet tropical fruit flavor that was expected in the nose, being paired with some quite bready and doughy flavors. There is a bit of vanilla and crème upfront, which meld nicely with the tropical fruits, creating a somewhat tropical creme like taste. There is also some hop flavors of grapefruit and an herbal nature, which begins light, but increases over time. Other sweet flavors of apricot and peach join in, and with a bit of a lemon and more sweet tropical flavors, one is left with a rather sweet and fruity, mildly hopped tropical drink like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is rather thick and chewy with a moderate carbonation level. For the sweet and tropical tastes mixed with the vanilla and bready flavors the feel is appropriate, making of a thicker feeling brew to match the flavors.
Overall – A bit on the sweeter side, but overall a rather decent and fun IPA to try.
