Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a puffy head of white foam. The head fades slowly over time, leaving a bit of foamy and streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a grainy and sweet caramel smell mixed with notes of dough and some pretzel like aromas. Along with these smells comes a little bit of pine and a touch of herbal hop.
Taste- The taste begins with a bready malt flavor mixed with a bit of the caramel sweetness that was in the nose. At the same time there are flavors of corn and some grain, along with a bit of herbal and pine hop. The hop gets stronger as the taste advances, all while the sweet fades a bit, in the end, leaving one with a crisp and lightly hopped and moderately sweet pilsner taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is light to medium in thickness with a slightly higher carbonation level. Pretty good for the style and the feel and makes for a rather easy sipper.
Overall – A nice brew overall. Easy drinking and flavorful.
