Growler share.
Both were poured into becher pint glasses.
The appearance was a pale yellow color with a sly transparency about it. Small white foamy head mellowed out nicely. Soft lace strings out appropriately.
The aroma had some cracker-like malts, floral and grassy hops and a slight lemon sweetness subtly underneath.
The flavor leaned into the malts initially and had mostly the same aftertaste with some lemon.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability. Good carbonation and ABV. Mild cracker malty finish.
Overall, not a bad blonde ale, perhaps again, maybe with some food.

A pale yellow, clear beer with a small white head that has decent retention and lacing. Grainy and lightly sweet malt smell with a hint of floral hops; very simple aroma. Taste follows suit; while this is hoppier, with more floral and grassy notes than most blonde light beers, it’s still pretty simple and led primarily by pale malt and wheat and has a gentle, sweet grainy cereal flavor with moderate bitterness.
Body is light and carbonation is fairly high. Crisp and clean, refreshing, but a bit unexciting, unsurprisingly. Still a pretty good and less bland example of the style than often encountered.

Off the tap at Lake Placid this beer was a clear, pale gold color. The head was white, the retention weak and the lacing scattered and under-average too. The aroma was light, a blend of grassy hops and pale malt. The flavors were very dry and grassy with a touch of alcohol, light wheat and a touch of bitterness from the hops at the end. The mouthfeel was above average and semi-smooth, the body and carbonation medium. Refreshing and sessionable but un-commanding.

Poured a medium golden hue with a two finger white foamy head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell was very light and subtle. A nice light grain and wheaty aroma dominated.
The taste was light and clean. A very solid malt body with elements of wheat and rye. A smattering of hops kept the flavor interesting.
The mouthfeel was excellent for a blonde ale. Clean and crisp, with just a hint of wheat chewiness.
Overall an excellent blonde ale. A perfect summer brew.

If you like a really good light beer, you must try the Haystack Blonde Ale, it is everything a light ale should be and more.
A medium golden colour with a matching medium body and a light carbonation with a short head.
The taste has a slight bitter presence throughout this tasting expierience and lightly malted to the back.
The nose is mildly floral.
A session brew for sure...I liked it very much....recomended!

I tried this since they were out of the John Brown Pale Ale.
Although this beer was a bit weak in taste and mouthfeel, perhaps even watery, it was ok for accompanying a meal. I had only one, since there are other good beers at this establishment.
I recommend trying the sampler.
