I have converted many o' budlight drinker to the dark side using this beer. It's the smokiness that gets them every time! Hints of smoke, chocolate, coffee, and toffee. Good mouthfeel, have filled my growlers several times with this one. Was a big disappointment when I found out it was seasonal :/

Adirondak Smoked Porter has a dark brown body that borders on black and is almost completely opaque. The light brown head is about a finger tall and features solid retention and decent lacing.
The aroma is a little bit smokey, with lots of roasted malts, and bit of coffee and just a touch of dark fruits.
There is definitely a smokey element to this one, but it is overpowered by a burnt charcoal type of flavor that becomes unpleasant the more I drink of it. Honestly, I could see someone liking it though. Aside from the malt I pick up some coffee again and some black cherry in the background.
Adequate body and fairly smooth thanks to the carbonation.
This one got harder to drink as I went through it, it started to remind me of burned wood. Not terrible, but it didn't suit me.

Poured a deep brown hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and sticky lacing.
The smell featured a mild smoky element with a robust burnt grain and coffee aroma.
The taste consisted of a coffee, toffee, dark chocolate and charcoal flavors. Well balanced and nicely blended.
The mouthfeel was of average fullness and slightly chewy.
Overall a tasty and easy drinking porter. Good flavor profiles.

Eye Candy: Jet black with garnet red swirling. Thick 1 finger creamy tan head.
The Nose Knows: Robust porter with a hint of cherries and sweet maple sugar.
Tongueland: Very deep and rich malt character, hint of chocolate, that transitions into black cherry notes and finishes sweet and rich as a pecan pie. Amazing range of flavors.
Bender Factor: Finished a growler on the way back to Old Forge (I wasnt driving !!) Best brew on tap. A +++
