This the 2005 vintage that they were pouring at the brewery/restaurant.
This is an english style barley wine, served in a snifter. Hazy, dark copper colored, no head. It has a sweet fruit aroma, cinamon, there is a slight alcohol in the aroma. The taste has some malt but the fruitiness prevails, some bitterness on back of the throat, a little warming sensation on the back o f the throat.
This is a mellow english style barley wine, not the big malt monster barley wine that is associated with american BW's.
On the menu it states that the will only serve you two. The bartender has stated that the brewer wants the bartender to talk to the driker after two and see how he is reacting, Drunk I guess but I was BS'ing with a couple that was on their third glass of 12%-14%? alcohol wine with no talking too. What the hey.
I like this place small bar are but good beer and nice bartenders.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
