On draft at the brewery over Labor Day weekend, 2009.
Poured a slightly hazy medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a resinous, oily hop, clean grainy malts and a slight ester.
The taste consisted of a full upfront hop followed by a brawny malt bill. Good lingering hop bitterness.
The mouthfeel was full with a dry finish.
Overall a superior ale. I was told at the brewery that the beer was intended to be tripel. However, DIPA is what I got.

The beer pours a dark amber color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is awesome!! It has a warm, malty scent that boasts of pale, Carapils, and crystal malts along with a shit ton of hops. It smells quite bitter, yet well balanced. The taste is great! It has a huge citrus hop wallop that's plenty bitter along with a warm malty balance. The mouthfeel is good. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a very good DIPA. It's loaded for bear with lots of hop character, but I really enjoyed the level of malt complexity as well. Happy Anniversary.
