Hazy and very pale yellow beer due to its unfiltered body. Somewhat smallish head that settles down fairly quickly; patchy lacing remains. A very grainy aroma, with prominent wheat notes and citrus in the nose; also has a vaguely sweet malt aspect.
The flavor is also quite grainy and the wheat is certainly noticeable; again there is moderate sweetness but a subdued overall malt character. Not much of the banana and spice of a hefeweizen; a bit more on the citrusy side, with a slightly tart twang in the finish. Overall pretty mild and unremarkable, however. Very little in the way of hop presence; what's there is perhaps lightly floral, but only just so.
Clean and crisp drinking, refreshing, somewhat watery, light-bodied, with ample carbonation. A decent take on this style perhaps but probably my least favorite beer sampled over two visits to this brewpub.
