Delicious. This beer is why you visit joints like Check Six. Craft beer is alive and well in Southport, NC. The color is a very dark brown and a nice two-finger head that is like a deep Miami Beach tan. Good lacing on the glass. The nose was a bit of a letdown but the taste more than makes up for it. There are notes of roasted grains, toffee, and chocolate. The body was nearly silky and the finish leaves some additional notes that make you want to try another one.

Pint on tap at Nicks (Clemson).
Dark, opaque brown body with a very good head and decent lacing.
Ample dark roasted grains with hints of dark chocolate and faint coffee.
No burnt or char notes.
Flavor is better than the aroma.
