A malt forward trad lager crafted using only the best malts from the Munich area to create an authentic Oktoberfest beer. Medium bodied with a solid malt profile and perfectly hopped to balance the malts. Best enjoyed all year long, the beer is truly out of this world.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a nonic pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. My second beer from the Neustadt, Ontario brewery, and for 2025...

Can from the LCBO - looks like Neutadt's new owners/brewer has retooled Andy and Val's old 456 Marzen recipe, but it remains basically the same - pours a deep hazed gold with a 2 finger frothy cap...aromas of fresh bread, grassy hops and a light caramel undertone....this brew is medium bodied malt forward, well conditioned and attenuated, soft mouth feel.....flavor profile has a big chew of malts in front, some carmel tones then the hopping floods in to give balance...finish goes lightly dry with increased bittering and nice hop bite at the end...a decent enough rendering of an Oktoberfest Marzen - malty, quenching and great to pair up with some broiled Knackwurst and Kraut.
