February 2022
33 cl Bottle (Vintage 2019)
Peat and caramel nose.
Foam of little consistency which immediately reduces to a superficial veil.
Deep amber color, very opaque.
In the mouth, the body is quite flowing, more than I thought.
In the mouth caramel, molasses, honey and fruit in alcohol dominate a slight hint of peat that gives a slight sensation of ash and earth in a side dish dominated by sweet caramelized notes.
One cannot fail to notice a distinct ferrous note, probably of oxidation that constantly accompanies the drink, while not destroying it.
It goes down easily, and the same goes up: a warm and alcoholic note that reaches the head rather than the palate (while feeling that alcoholic note well masked between the sweet scents and a hint of black cherry in alcohol).
