Tart brown ale per Urban Artifacts description. The beers appearance is light brown when held to light appears clear ruby. The head was white and thin lasted a short time and left nice lacing on my glass. If you tell me a beer is tart it better be tart. Is it tart? Yes. If you tell me a beer has coffee you better bring it. Yes the coffee is present. The aroma leads with darkly roasted coffee. I think I am catching a bit of cocoa laced leather. The flavor leads with more of a nice medium roasted coffee. A flash of cocoa goes into a nice acetic / lactic tartness. The mouth feel is light and nicely carbonated. I do not find the acidity problematic in the least. At the risk of homerism this beer is a treat.
