Thanks Richard and Alanna!

A: Magenta in color with a light purple head.

S: Blueberry and raspberry with a slight tartness. Perhaps a touch of earth in there.

T: Light crisp sourness to start, followed by blueberry, cherry, and blackberry. A touch of funk and earthiness in the finish. Not getting a lot of the vanilla.

M: Medium light in body, with plenty of carbonation, and a tart and dry finish.

O: Overall a pretty darn good brew.

Pours a bright berry color - red-to-pink blush, with a 1/2 finger of pink head. Recedes to a ring.

Aroma is a mix of raspberry jam and urinal. I attribute the latter to the farmhouse funk of the yeast. Slight jammy notes, some vinegar, some hay.

In the flavor, the yeast funk comes forward in a horseblanket-like fashion, slightly dirty socks, and hidden amongst the funk is a nice jammy raspberry, and blueberry bubble gum. I don't detect any vanilla.

Feel is busy with carbonation, and leaves a nice tart pucker on the palate.

Overall, a pretty decent sour but nothing jaw dropping. It doesn't quite do it for me like their Fire Iron did. Still an interesting beer if you are into the more dirty, earthy side of fruit sours.

Midwest fruit tart brewed with blueberries and vanilla beans. Poured from a can into an Urban Artifact Thoroughbred glass. The pour is deep reddish-purple with about a half-finger of fine white foam. Not a lot of light gets through because of the dark color. Some tart, fruity notes on the nose like lemons, dark fruit, and red wine.

Medium body with a tart, fruity flavor and a firm feel. Like just about every Urban Artifact beer I've had, this one is all about the fruit. Sharp sour notes up front, fresh blueberries, some lemon, and then at mid-palate I can sense the vanilla joining in to provide balance. The vanilla loses out though, and the tartness of the blueberries overpowers it. There's a bit of lactic sourness on the finish and you are left salivating for another sip.

Another winner from Urban Artifact. I love their approach sours - use lots of fresh fruit and don't turn it into a pecker contest. Their beers are loaded with fruit flavor and are not made obnoxiously sour just for fun. These beers are very palatable. Craft beer fans who normally don't like sours are becoming drawn to what Urban Artifact is doing. Last time I had a sour made with blueberries, the darn thing was gold in color. This beer is so purple it looks like a glass of chianti. The moment it went into the glass I knew I was in for a treat. Can't wait to see what else they conjure up.
