This brew feels huge throughout the experience, even though it is just a tab shy of huge on ABV.
It pours out of the can fairly flat, but otherwise as black and shiny as they get. The aroma is an early sensor of the treat that is coming: the taste, that is an oilcan full of malty, sugary stickiness. Oh, don't get any on ya. I had a little sloppy pour and it turns into a nice stickum.
Highly recommended. This is my absolute favorite brewer in the Southwest Ohio region. I need to make a pilgrimage.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; nice fluffy dark khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of roasted black coffee. Mild and subtle hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Malts are there. The flavors are kind of odd because it comes off as almost tart and sour, which I didn't see coming. Cherry juice is there. More coffee. The maple is noticeable. Malts do their thing. Finishes on the sweeter side. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of full-bodied or fuller side of medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's smooth and easy to drink.
This is an interesting brew. I like the aromas, but the sweet and tartness is odd. It still has some solid flavors going on though.

12 ounce can, no canning date that I noticed but I think it was released about a month or so ago. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with almost an inch tan head. Head retention is good, and there's a decent amount of lacing. I love the aroma, the brew smells like maple, molasses, vanilla, coffee, nuts and cinnamon. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some roasted malt, cream, wood and a slight tart dark fruity flavor noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and easy to drink with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I really liked this stout, this one is definitely worth picking up! $11.99 a 4-pack.

``Maple Breakfast Stout'' brewed with 8 different malts and grains, maple syrup, molasses, Brazilian coffee, almonds, cinnamon, and vanilla beans. Poured from a can into an Urban Artifact Thoroughbred glass. The pour is very dark, not quite black, and sports a thin tan head with average retention. On the nose I get coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate, and a slight cedary note.
Medium body with a fairly firm feel and a roasty flavor. Up front I get roasted malt, some toffee, and a fair amount of coffee. A little chocolate creeps in around mid-palate, and the beer seems to be like any other milk stout I've had. Then, near the back of the palate, some tart notes spring up and a sour cherry note joins in with all that roast. The result is a very interesting flavor combination. It persists through the finish, and a dry, earthy, woody bitter chocolate and cherry flavor lingers behind.
In an age where beer fans seem to flock to intensely-flavored, high gravity, over-the-top booze bombs, I'm not sure how well received this beer is going to be. Personally, I am always appreciative of something new and this is the first time I have tasted a beer like this. I look forward to finishing the rest of the 4-pack.

Aroma is roasty, sweet, and chocolatey, with a hint of acidity.
Flavor is coffee dominant, with maple adding sweetness, balanced by a hint of wild sour character. Wish the coffee were a little less pronounced.

From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This FINE stout pours
a rich muddled blackish brown with a nice head of brown foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin subtle pool, and light lacing. Nose of sweet maple syrup, dark cocoa,
deeply roasted coffee, vanilla, and light cream. Flavors follow the nose with smooth
balanced cream and coffee mingling with mild maple syrup and subtle char touched
cocoa and vanilla on the rear of the taste. Balanced and smooth, this nice brew hits
the right notes of light carbonation, a touch less than a full mouth feel that is lightly
slick, and a sweet finish touched by all the aforementioned parts that culminate into
on nicely rounded whole.
I am impressed....period!
THIS is one fine brew!
