Foggy burnt gold with a fuzzy bright white collar.
This is like a dank IPA, but sour and juicy, with a crisp refreshing mint and allium background, finishing dry. The medium body even exhibits notes of lemonade at times.

355 ml can
Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours a cloudy amber color with orange highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves a little lacing.
It has a nice tart and citrus aroma.
The taste begins with a strong citrus flavor. Then the tartness comes in to compliment the citrus. The flavors mingle to create an explosive tasting experience.
Medium mouthfeel with low carbonation
I wasn't expecting much with the luke warm ratining, but I really enjoyed this beer. I am a fan of dry hopped sours. They can be hit or miss for me. This one was a hit.

Fresh hop tart IIPA brewed with fresh hops from the Ohio Valley. Poured from a can into a Woodburn tulip. A rather rough pour produces a beer that is dark gold in color, hazy, and has about a finger of fine white head that quickly dissipates due to the acidity. Unusual nose on this beer. You definitely get the tartness on the nose as well as the hops, and the two combine to produce an aroma that is fruity, funky, flowery, and a little metallic.
Medium-light body with a firm feel and a refreshing flavor. It has a blend of tart and hoppy flavors that combine to give a citrusy beer. Up front I get wheat crackers, then it quickly brings forth notes of orange juice, grapefruit, lime, and a little white wine. Nice dry appetizing finish.
Another winner from Urban Artifact. Not really hoppy enough to overwhelm the acidity, and not sour enough to detract from the other flavors. It is a tart, citrusy, refreshing beer.

What is an American style if it isn't unique? This one breaks the mold, and that is important.
It pours, looking like a typical AIPA or DAIPA, but the aroma gives away the unique tart taste that follows. Unlike DAIPs that are hoppy or malty, this one is uniquely sour. I think there is a lot of hop and malt flavor down there too, but it is dominated by the tart taste. The burp is a lovely tart, hoppy experience. Nice.
This brewer does interesting things that uniformly are successful. This is no exception.
Highly recommended, but make sure you want an unusual sour double American IPA.
