Ale brewed with pineapples and strawberries with vanilla beans and lactose added. One of 4 Centerpiece variants released at the brewery. Poured from a can into an Upland tulip. The pour looks a lot like Centerpiece, but I could swear it's darker (this is not side-by-side, so that's just based on my memory). The head is just as impressive as the standard beer - perhaps even more so. The nose is all pineapple and strawberry and I think I do get a little of that vanilla as well.
Wow! Upon taking my first sip I have to report that the vanilla and lactose really come through on this. It definitely isn't a sweet vanilla bomb, but I can see why they named it ``Pineberry Milkshake''. it's as if someone added a scoop of vanilla ice cream to a glass of Centerpiece. It has an amazing balance between the sour notes, the fruit, and the vanilla. I think they may have used a bit of extra fruit to make this batch of the variant. I have had quite a few cans of Centerpiece so far and none of them left this much fruity residue on the sides of the glass. The flavors don't wear on you or fatigue your palate either. I could easily drink this all day and not get tired of this flavor.
