Orange smoothie variant of Centerpiece. Ale brewed with pineapples and strawberries plus orange zest and vanilla beans. Poured from a can into a La Fin du Monde tulip. Pours out a murky dark orange-yellow with a massive head for a sour beer. Retention is simply outstanding (are you sure this is sour?). The nose is pretty darned amazing. Lots of pineapple and strawberry, but the orange cuts through it and makes it all smell like rainbow sherbet.
Wow! I was not expecting the flavor of this beer. It's not as tart as I thought it would be and the vanilla really caught me by surprise. The vanilla is pretty much AWOL on the nose, but it comes through creamy and clear on the palate. Did I say this stuff smells like rainbow sherbert? It freaking tastes like it too! Straight fruit, vanilla, and just the fight amount of sour presence from the beer. Amazingly gulpable. It goes really, really fast. The fruit residue left on the sides of the glass is also pretty impressive.
