Solidly opaque dark wooden brown with a short spit bubbled chocolate milk tan head dying to a thin chain.
Definitely figgy, but only to a mild and softened degree, nearer to Fig Newtons with even that doughy bready layer and a hint of browned toastiness. Cinnamon is the spice that is apparent, but that is also mild, with a touch of crabapple bringing a slight tartness.
This is nicely balanced for such a goofy treat of a beer. The medium body has a slight tingly fizz that brings a touch of vanilla bean frosting out in the semi-dry finish.
I'm not really sure at all what kind of base beer this uses...it's kind of lightly tart, but doesn't seem near sour enough to even be a Berliner. Either way, it's relatively unique, and comforting without being too Christmasy or spicy.
