Cashew apples are pretty rare in the US, so when we got the opportunity to get our hands on some we jumped on it. The aromatic, sweet, and slightly bitter fruit blends perfectly with papaya and rounds out a unique tropical flavor profile.

Pours brilliant, clear gold with an effervescent head of foam that bubbles away quickly. There is an aroma of apple throughout, very similar to cider. The taste is also highly reminiscent of cider, being strongly apple. The papaya is very light, and one has to focus hard to get that profile. Though not sour so much, it is more tart and delicious.

16 ounce can, canned on 02/10/22. Served in a chalice, the beer pours a slightly hazy gold color with not quite an inch tan head that fizzled away somewhat quickly. Not much lacing either. The brew smells like papaya, earthiness and a weird apple aroma which I'm guessing is the cashew apple. The taste seems pretty much like the aroma to me, but there's also some herbalness and a general tropical fruity taste noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty unique brew, definitely worth a try. I liked it!
