This American Fruit Tart is packed with real pumpkin and pie spices.
Jack is a goliath in his world and in ours. Wandered down from the frozen tundra to find how delicious the food was here and brought back his favorites to share with his tribe. Absolutely wild about pumpkins. Loves pie.

I didn't read the label well enough going into it. I really dislike sours. That said, I'm almost glad I got it because it's definitely a chance to explore something a bit more sophisticated. That said, I think it falls short (just my view). There aren't enough spice notes on the pumpkin. And printing "Pumpkin Pie" on the can veers on false advertising. Not cool, at all. That said, I guess for one of the 2 sour ales I drink every 500 days, its not half bad. Just really not impressive in any way for me.

A tart pumpkin ale - I didn't think it would actually work, but it did...
The look is kinds weak in my eyes and the smell was funkier than I liked. Even so, the mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and velvety with a taste that's lightly tart but with a surprisingly sweet backbone. I'm not a sour beer guy, but this was as good for a style I don't gravitate towards...

Pale yellow and hazy in color with a fingernail of off white around nearly all of the rim and covering two thirds of the top. The aroma is of ginger and nutmeg. I’m tasting tart ginger with nutmeg and cinnamon in the mix. The mouth is moderately carbonated and snappily refreshing.

Love Urban sours... Love pumpkin beer... Not sure how I feel about a pumpkin sour though... Limited if any head... The color is a thick viscous sludgy tangerine pumpkin... Suspended sediment throughout... Nose of pumpkin cream cheese and lactose... There is a lot going on the palate... Loads of spice along with the expected pumpkin and sour notes... All spice, cinnamon and ginger... Feel is chewy and full bodied... Some light carbonation... Unique and one of a kind, but not something I would indulge in with regularity...

This one to me is quite strange I didn't really get any vegetable flavor from the pumpkin to me it came off like their typical fruit tart ale taste maybe a slight bit of sweetness from the vanilla and a really intense ground cinnamon flavor. The tart and then the spicy really didn't work too much for me and had me wishing for more balance with the vanilla. I did end up finishing it but it just made me wish I would have got any other fruit beer by the company. Still if you like an experimental Brew I would definitely pick it up it really blends the line between pumpkin beer and kettle sour.

If sweet beer can get the pumpkin spice treatment then so can sour beer. Not just relegated to caramelized, malty, sugary and heavy beer anymore, the tartness of beer now sees the cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and ginger flare as well.
Brightly lemon-gold and laced with a fine hazy, Jack doesn’t leave so much of a froth but pops with an aromatic balance of cider and spice with a backbone of wheat. Genlte wafer-thin sweetness hits the tongue with a mild and fruity sweetness to set the tone.
But as the ale washes the middle palate, its the sourness that takes hold and chases away the malt sweetness and paving the way for a bevy of green apple, lemon, lime and gooseberry. A balance of pumpkin spices introduce late to give the session intrigue and symmetry in a seriously mulled cider way.
Medium bodied for sour ale but light overall, the session sets up like spiced cider with a little of a kick. A quick after tow of sourdough is the only proof that there’s a beer inside this pumpkin ale.

12oz can poured into a goblet
A- pours a murky pale orange color with a razor thin head that has short retention, looks like a NE IPA
S- very vegetal aroma with notes of pickled cabbage. Undertones of cinnamon, nutmeg and a light creamy vanilla
T- the vegetal note translates into the taste up front, followed by some cinnamon and nutmeg. Mid-palate gives a light creamy vanilla note. The finish is tart with notes of lemon, cinnamon and more vegetal flavor on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that continues into a slick finish
O- the base beer doesn't really work with the pumpkin spices for me, this one ended in a chug

slightly hazy dark gold color with Tarty citrus sour on the front end followed up by a subtle pumpkin pie that casually creeps up as an aftertaste. Taste is similar to the aroma but it smells more like pumpkin than what it tastes. Comes with a moderate amount of carbonation The more you drink them, the less pumpkin it gets, sadly…which can lead to revenge drinking the entire 6 pack in an attempt to extract whatever pumpkin goodiness it has left.
