Fantastic sour. Full-bodied w/ a tart aftertaste, pear comes through clear & the spices do not overwhelm

Getting in full holiday form, Urban Artifact rolls their stronger sour ale into the wintry spice collection and with pear. It's a pure essence of the holidays, if they are sour.
Pale gold and held in a mild haze, Aromancer expands with a bubbly froth, short lasting in its foam stance but bright in its fruity scent. Cider, wine, citrus and orchard fruit mingle on the nose while the taste leads to a juicy sweetness of pear, squeezebox, sourdough and fructose. An undercurrent of green apple, white grape, lime, lemon and gooseberry all frame a tart, tangy and tantalizing fruitiness only to be balanced with subtle cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger. Soothed with light vanilla nuance, the finish is warmingly tart, yet smoothly fruity.
Medium bodied but trending dry, the ale finishes playfully tart with a brief afterglow of holiday spice and damp burlap.

Sours are not my thing, but this one is not bad. Pours a golden, slightly cloudy color. White head. Nose is slightly sour. Taste is indeed pear. No real bitterness, but good amount of sourness, however nothing too overbearing.

Tried this paired with a Sour Punch Prickly Pear. They complimented each other perfectly, however I prefer the beer on its own. It has a taste of tart to it, but the smell is a strong sour aroma.
