While I enjoy going to the local Pyramid Alehouse, (great happy hour) I find their beers very pedestrian. This porter is another example of what seems to me, half assed brewing. This porter was a deep brown and had little or no head retention. Lacing was non-existent and aroma was very weak. Taste profile was smooth and had some hops but there was not much roasted flavor. Thin watery mouthfeel, and due to the above notes, not very drinkable. These guys need to ramp it up a bit.

Pours a dark black with hints of brown lights. The head is very good, a nice deep dark cream/tan will layer over the glass. The lacing is average. The smell is of roasted coffee and syrup. Hints of blackberry as well. The taste is rather bland, light hints of roasted coffee are there, a light porter with almost a blackberry alcohol aftertaste. Odd. Light bodied for most porters, an average porter.

this porter is a little chocolately as expected, pours dark brown but not quite opaque and little head. It doesn't taste very storng in alcohol or flavor and has an unpleasent chalky taste hidden in there., the aftertaste is bitter and light. Altogether kinda bland.

Sampled at the Pyramid Ale House opposite the Seattle Mariners Stadium.
Dark brownish black ale with ruby red tones and a dense tan head.
Aroma is of a Cadbury Chocolate and Raisin bar. Sharp CO2 and hop twange are on the fore palate and are heightened by a mineral touch.
The body quickly disappears with just a touch of sweeteness to the finish.
