Another fairly good classic IPA that I was expecting more from in taste.

Pert of a Summer Sampler 12-pack. Poured in to a pint glass.
Pours a shiny gold color, clear, with a modest but frothy head.
Smell is decidedly floral and citrus. Lemon blossom.
Taste is also very citrus, but sweet. Orange lemon and pink grapefruit.
Mouthfeel is clean, but with a very dry bitter aftertaste.
Overall one of the better IPAs from Pyramid. I'd have it agains

Pyramid IPA pours a brackish amber color with a 3 finger head that recedes to 1/2 finger within a few minutes. Lace left behind is good to great, and bubbles continue to effervescently float to the top to keep the head stable.
Aroma is very beery - tons of golden/baked grains, some corn, DMS, with a bit of light pine behind it. It's very fresh, but this mostly smells like a domestic macro ale or lager.
Flavor starts with sharp stabs of pine, followed by beery graininess, and a stale finish. This beer has bitterness but zero hop flavor, a bunch of stale grains reminiscent of a bad macro lager, and a finish that somehow scrubs the tongue but leaves a nasty coating behind.
Feel is crisp to start, giving way to a pleasantly resinous stickiness, but is short lived and eventually leads to a pasty, dry stale finish.
Overall, Pyramid IPA may be one of the worst ones out there. Surprising coming from a pacific brewery.

A 22oz bomber purchased in Portland, OR
Nice orange colored body with a very solid chunky white head that is slow to dissipate.
Very muted aromas of steely hops, grey water, and malts.
Grainy medium bodied-brew with some citrus/grapefruit and pine resin flavors.
Finish is very steely and bitter and unpleasant--like licking an ice skate covered in Yeti sweat.

22 oz no date info
Pours a yellow body with a slightly off white 1 inch head. Lots of visible carbonation. Some retention, decent lacing
Smell is very malt forward for an IPA. lots of roasted nuts, chocolate, a hint of pine, no citrus or fruits whatsoever .
Taste really follows the smell with a thin line of bitter hops at the finish.
Medium-thin feel . A little over carbonated
Hard to define this beer. I love Pyramid's Snow Cap Ale. And this is one really reminds me of that, but as a lighter style. (But still very roasted malt forward)

Pours a clear golden color with a tight, white head that leaves chunks of lacing.
Smells of pine and citrus hops.
Tastes of the pine and citrus hops with a decent malt backbone. Hops lead off with notes of grapefruit and pine. This gives way to a bit of grainy malt with some sweetness to it. More hops come next and offer a bit more herbal notes. Finishes fairly dry.
Mouthfeel is medium with a crisp amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a solid IPA, but it doesn't really stand out in any particular area.
