Part of a Summer Sampler 12-Pack. Poured in to a pint glass.

Pours a copper/gold color, clear with a wispy white head.

Smell is a citrus and soft fruit aroma. Oranges, peaches and the like.

Taste is a sweet bread flavor, with a kind of sweet grain and caramel flavor along side. Mild sweet citrus finish.

Mouthfeel is clean and light. Appropriate for the style.

Overall an OK session IPA. Not one of the better breweries in the region, and this one is rather pedestrian and typical of their product.

Poured into a 5oz sampler Ditto has a nice burnt orange color and is brilliantly clear. A nice 2 finger head formed although dissipated somewhat quickly. Nice lacing throughout repeated pours.

The aroma has lots of citrus and tropical notes with a bit of earthiness and herbal on the back end. The aroma is mostly hops; overall very assertive and complex.

The taste is hop forward and echoes some of the notes from the bouquet but takes on strong flavors of spice and resinous pine up front as well. Some nice stone fruit flavor from the yeast. Restrained herbal bitterness on the back along with light notes of bread and caramel from the malt to balance things out.

A nice feel, certainly dry and light bodied. The lighter body is suitable for the style and making Ditto easy to drink. Just a bit astringent and drying but this is certainly a sessionable brew.

Overall an impressive summer beer from Pyramid that does a fantastic job of highlighting the aroma and flavors of American hops while remaining highly drinkable.
