Clear gold with three fingers of off white head. Splotches of lace.
Smell is grain with some herbal hops.
Taste is grassy herbal hops with a balancing malt bill. Well rounded beer.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with good carbonation. Finish is lightly dry and balanced.
Overall a really pleasant lager. Well done Pyramid!

A - From 12oz bottle to shaker glass with moderate aggressive pour yields 2+ finger moderate density bone white head that stays for a couple min along with lots of sticky lacing. A shade or two darker than average AAL and good looking carbonation.
S - Subdued scent has spicy aromatic hops that break through the light pilsner malt backbone. Smells
T - Sweet dextrin bready pilsner and lager malts dominate the taste. Moderate North American hop bitterness compliments but doesn't overpower. Good interpretation of a traditional German lager without noble hops. No metallic, alcohol or off flavors.
M - Prickly carbonation and sweet sticky malts makes for a pleasing and tasty brew. Full flavored body and slightly dry hops round things off nicely for another swig.
O - Good quaffable American take on your traditional German helles lager. At 5.5% it won't knock your socks off but its a versatile session beer. I don't know if pyramid brews their Oktoberfest lager anymore, but this is perfect for that time of year!
