Draft at the Happy Viking in Yuba City. Hazy amber pour, small skin of head. Toasty malts in both the aroma and taste. Pretty simple and highly quaffable

This one seems to back for 2013. Attractive clear, dark, amber brew with a decent head. Pleasant warm, malty concoction. Nicely tangy with a hint of hops. Just 21 IBUs with Nugget and Willamette hops, according to the brewer. Quite a lot of toasty and roasted malt flavor. On the sweet side but a pleasant quaff.

Quite drinkable and well-made brew. Really malty and likeable for the modest alcohol content. On tap at the Best Western hotel bar by the Tacoma Dome, of all places.

Had this amber alehouse at the brewery here in sactown. Beer similar to other american ambers. Not flavorful but not strong either. An easy beer to drink. Hops not present in either taste or smell which given current trend to over hop every beer may not be bad. Slight malt flavor and gentle biscuit aftertaste. Fresh from brewery adds to quality. A good summer beer.

Alehouse Amber pours a hazy dark amber with a light foamy head. It smells of light sweet malt and light roast malt, with a hint of floral hops. The body is nice and thick, with a flavorful malt profile: sweet medium caramel malts with a bit of roast character. Some bready toasted or Munich malt, and subtle white fruit esters from the yeast: apricot and peach. Despite the nice malts, there is a bit of an oxidized flavor, which the hops are unable to cover. Hops, by the way, are almost nonexistent, which wouldn't be bad if not for the oxidation, which makes the faint floral flavor seem dull.

Overall not bad, but has the same type of oxidized or maybe just oversparged flavor common to other corporate breweries like Gordon-Biersch.
