Very strong stout. Pours a liquid oil black with a decent light mocha head. The smell is strong of alcohol, faint hint of roasted malts and coffee beans. The taste is very strong. Loaded with alcohol, dark rich taste of roasted malts, thick. Not bad when paired with a desert but a little strong for my liking. Very heavy alcohol 9.2%

Black, but not the blackest by far. Nice dark tan head but falls very fast.

Very low aroma for this style, just a low malt with some chocolate and coffee roast, small hint of black currant.

Flavor is relativly simple, not huge, but very good. Nice malt, although a little sugary, with a good roasty finish. Some fruity complexity and some low minty hops in the end. Alcohol is percivable, but not real high and adds complexity.

Great dry finish, adds to drinkability.

This is not an outstanding beer, and is very simple for the style. But is clean and drinkable, with the only major distraction being the sgary malt is a bit cloying, but that is balanced with the dryer finish. A beer to enjoy, but not really one to savour.
