Pours a hazy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and citrus/berry hops, with notes of grapefruit, white grape and gooseberry. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of biscuity malt and citrus/berry hops, with notes of grapefruit, white grape and gooseberry, with the white grape standing out particularly, as well as a certain herbal dankness. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some white grape and grapefruit lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a pretty nice IPA that really brings out the Nelson hops nicely with some distinct white grape and gooseberry notes, as well as the Cascade adding some grapefruit and dank, spicy notes.
