Mr.Suds recently changed ownership, Thank God!! The new owners are doing a great job. This is your typical party store/homebrew/winemaking store. They have really stepped up there homebrewing supplies though. They have everything that the beginner/intermediate brewer will need. Good selection of liquid yeasts and hops(pellets and whole). I am a all grain brewer and for most of beers I can get the grains I need. If you need some specialty grains they wont have it, but for your basic 2 row, crystal, munich, etc.. they usually have it in stock. They also have at least 3 types of DME for the extract brewer. The only negatives about Mr. Suds is that most of the counter people don'homebrew. If you are going there for advice or questions you might be better served looking it up on the internet. Mr. Suds might also be a tad more expensive than most of the online homebrew shops. Overall I really like it, if for nothing else the convience of running down there when you getting ready to brew to pick up some last minute ingredient.

This place is a ramshackle shack, a small box of a party favor/Home Brew Shop. What a dreadful combonation. The folks are nice here, but there's not much to be nice about. The suplies are minimal (their whole hop selections fits inside a small sized dorm fridge). They try to cater to both wine and beer making, with hardly enough room to do just one of them justice, and all the ingredients are located in an employees only - walk in cooler. I really wanted this place to be great. It is closer to home than the one HBS i frequent. But i can not make myself go there. Sorry Mr. Suds. Do the hobby justice and then we'll talk.
